Inner World of Beliefs.......

To Believe or Not to Believe?

Within us deep down inside, we each have our own private inner world of beliefs that shape our lives into what we perceive as our reality. It is from within our inner world of beliefs these things called thoughts are born and we all know we live or create our lives based on what we think. It is also from within our inner world of beliefs we feel and therefore express our emotions and as well, we all know we live or create our lives based on what or how we feel.
I like to call this little inner world of beliefs the hard drive where all my programs or beliefs that run me (create my life) are downloaded.
Every single moral or principle comes from our inner world of beliefs. Every action or non-action we take is motivated by our beliefs. How we raise our children, conduct our daily routines, cook or choose a restaurant, do laundry, the items we purchase, places we go, conversations we have, run a business or be an employee, determine what kind of jobs we are qualified for, pursue more college education or not, what kind of people we have in our lives and the list just goes on and on....right down to how we brush our teeth and what toothbrush and toothpaste we believe is best. All choices we face each day are based on our beliefs and these beliefs turn into truth for us...our truth.
We are aware we form our beliefs based on parental, societal, educational, religous and experiential sources. As we get older we discover some of our beliefs we were raised with or exposed to are beneficial to our well being and others are not. When we move into our twenties and thirties we begin to change the most outstanding beliefs....the ones that stick out the most in our lives.
For instance, perhaps we find we do not resonate to a particular or any religion anymore, we are more drawn to another religion or path of spirituality. Maybe we don’t feel as we once did about living in the same area as our immediate family and we believe the coastal areas or mountains might be for us rather than the mid-west or dessert. These beliefs that stand out are more easily seen and felt by us, therefore more readily accepted and changed, but what about the more subtle, underlying beliefs that navigate us on a daily basis we are not so consciously aware of? The downloaded programs we’ve received throughout our lives without conscious awareness, the little guys that slipped in when we weren’t looking. These programs or beliefs we have deep down we are unaware of that keep bringing us down the same road over and over again.
When our lives are not going the direction we wish it to go, in our confusion and sense of desperation we keep saying to ourselves, “This is the way I was raised to believe things should be done and everybody else does it, but why is it the same stupid thing keep happening to me”? We look at our outer worlds wondering, “What the heck is going on...why isn’t anything working for me, everything I try to do goes out the window or comes crashing down”?
Following are some beliefs you might have experienced or took on as truth at some point in your life. Perhaps you will find one or more that resonate with how you conduct your life and where your beliefs in truth have led you.

Looking Through The Eyes of Others.......

We catch ourselves looking around one day asking what in the world happened, some call this a mid-life crisis. We did everything we were taught to do...told to do....believed we “should” be doing, but what happened to being happy or successful and in a sense of fulfillment on all levels in our lives? What goes wrong?

So how many of you go to your friends, spouses or members of your family asking, “What do you think I should do?” or “What would you do if you were me”? Now we might think looking through another’s perspective or eyes we may see something we are not seeing in the moment and we believe if we seek outside ourselves for this feedback we might gain greater clarity to make our decision, right?
We also have the tendency to seek guidance outside ourselves because somewhere along the line there is a place within us that feels the need to receive validation or approval for the decisions or choices we make, consequently what we do in our lives. And when we receive enough validation or approval from those around us, we come to the belief we are doing the right thing and living our lives the right way, right?
On the other hand, if we don’t receive this approval and basically get “H.E. Double Toothpicks” from everyone then we come to the belief we are doing something wrong and we tend to regroup or change our choices until those around us wear a smile and are pleased with us again.
Wayne Dyer enjoys sharing this quote I love; “Don’t believe everything you think”, but I would like to add, “Don’t believe everything others think, see or perceive” either. When we ask someone outside our life to share with us what they see on our path, what we are inadvertently really asking is for them to look through their eyes and their perspective, which is all based on their life experiences and beliefs, not ours.
In lesson 10 of Speaking Wind’s book, Season of the Long Shadow, he was taught when we begin to focus or look to another's life path, we are removing our focus from our own and in essence we are taking on the other persons lessons and path by doing so. We are attempting to place ourselves in their shoes trying to determine what is best for them.
I asked myself...after I realized I was very guilty of this...........In all truth, how in the world could this ever be truly possible? No one has the same life, experiences or lessons. No one has the same destiny, purpose or dharma. We all incarnate with our own plan and it is solely up to us to be the driver and determine or choose which direction we will take. What may be harmonious for one may be devastating for another.

Our personal lessons that come to us are custom designed for us and only us. Each upsetting event that says hello in our life is followed by the debut of our emotions that arise from that event. Then once the fog has subsided, if you’re open and aware, you can see what you’ve brought to yourself to reach a greater understanding for who and what you are in truth. These are called lessons. They have absolutely nothing to do with anyone outside ourselves, it is all about what we are open to see and learn about us. This is called inner growth.
On the flip-side of this when we form the habit or arrange our lives looking through the eyes of others, we ride the fence towards making any move without thinking how it would make another feel first and we are then coming from a place of fear...yes? This begins the ride of living in fear of expressing our true feelings and beliefs and we then begin to see ourselves as who and what others have told us we should be. In essence, we put our true authentic selves to one side and begin to live in accordance to outside approval and control.
This place of allowing others to control us ultimately brings many to the feeling of losing themselves somewhere along their roads. At some point they realize they don’t have a clue who or what they are about, a.k.a. the proverbial mid-life or identity crisis thing.
From the creation of allowing others to control our lives through telling us how to be, control that doesn’t allow us to live up to the standards that these others place on us because the standards didn’t come from us, they are from another who has nothing at all to do with us or our lessons.
*As Speaking Wind points out; “Those who would look at themselves through the eyes of another or others will always be disappointed, or filled with despair, hurt, sorrow and many other emotions that keep them locked into the illusion of seeing themselves as not good enough. And the longer they will see themselves through those imposed standards, the longer they will remain lost within this sleep of illusion which tells them they are not good enough at anything they do.” He goes on to say, “The longer they remain trapped within this illusion, the harder they try to be better. And the more they will try, the less they will be of themselves. Soon, they will only be an echo of someone or something they are not and this gives them a feeling of being lost in a world that can no longer see or hear them. This places them into a direct line of seeing themselves as having nothing of value to offer another. And, they come to believe there is nothing good to see in themselves or anyone else.”
For those who have remained locked within this particular illusion, one of the most profound insights the Ancestors offered Speaking Wind in Season of the Long Shadow pg. 447 is, “When it is time and their journey is at it’s end, you will see great tears of regret falling over their faces, tears of regret for all they could have done with this earth walk but did not do, tears of regret for not having taken the time and effort of seeing through their own eyes that would have allowed them to see past all of their pain and sorrow, their own eyes that would have allowed them to see that all things which had come to them were blessings and opportunities of learning so they could understand the lessons that were greatly needed by their own spirit. And these tears of regret will not be shed for anyone other than themselves, for in truth, my brothers, there cannot be any other who can come before your own needs. And this is the beginning of the path to seeing through your own eyes.”
Years ago I met a woman online who was a psychologist in Hawaii. She watched me work with people online about their behavior patterns and belief systems and approached me about moving to Hawaii to co-create a retreat she envisioned. She asked if I was interested in creating workshops and seminars based on my work. Can I tell you how there I was!
Now during this time she was heavily involved with an online group she asked me to join. After a period of time I became suspicious, something just didn’t feel right about the man who formed this group to the degree I called the FBI and other authorities to learn the truth, something I never felt the cause to do in my life. The group of people were wonderful, but within a couple of weeks I learned this man went by many aliases and none of what he told the group was true, basically he was a con-man. I never went to her with this information, I couldn’t, he was under investigation, but I didn’t have to either, this man’s true color’s surfaced all on their own.
However, by sticking to my gut feeling and having no desire to include this man in the seminar/workshop project, our plans came to an end. I chose not to look through her eyes and agree with her perspective, instead I looked through my own eyes and honored my gut feeling. I realized whatever it was she needed to learn or see she was in the process of bringing it to herself, therefore I had no right to interfere.
We are mostly raised to believe we need to go with the norm or what I like to call the “school of fish”; doing, behaving and thinking like everyone else or we are frowned upon. Every so often I like to ask myself this question, “If I were sitting in a rocking chair at the end of this life, is there anything different I would have done”? It’s amazing what this one question brings up within one’s self....I encourage you to try it sometime.

Target, Delete and Replace Old Programs.......

In his book, “Excuses Begone”, Wayne Dyer discusses what Bruce Lipton calls, “memes” or mind viruses. These are programs, mind viruses or beliefs that have been downloaded into our hard drive, belief system or sub-conscious that cause us to behave in ways that ultimately bring dysfunction, disharmony and dis-ease into our lives. I believe Dr. Dyer is absolutely precise when he states the function of these viruses are to replicate and infiltrate everywhere within us. The nature of  beliefs no matter what they are do this...it’s their very nature, they can’t do otherwise, so please understand, always and forever it is us who is in control of what we choose to believe and our lives reflect this.
     Okay, I invite you to do a little detective test and target anything and I mean anything you do and trace it to it’s origin...asking along the way all the “Why’s”. For example;

I do such and such a thing.........
Why do I do this?
Because that is the way I was raised
Why?
Because that is the way my parents were raised and what they believed
Is it true? Is this my deeper truth that I believe?
No, this is not my truth!
Why do I hold this belief as my truth instead of what I truly believe then?

You get my point, you are on the hunt and breaking down thought by thought, belief by belief what and why you do what you do that is bringing some form of dysfunction or disharmony in your life. While on this journey into your inner world of beliefs you will discover why you actually believe in the things you do. You begin to see through the testimony of your own life how these beliefs create the thoughts that create the actions that creates what you attract to you that creates your life.
I would encourage you to ask at the end of your journey into each belief if that particular belief still holds true to you and does it bring balance and well being to your life. If not, transform the old belief with what now feels true to you.
Personally, every time I catch the old tapes come up I repeat my deeper truth three or more times. Immediately I bring myself to actually feel my new belief filling me, surrounding me, being me. Slowly I begin to feel myself reconnect with my new belief.
It truly is amazing how we live our lives and EVERYTHING we do or think is born or created directly from our own private inner world of beliefs. Everything.

Off The Back Burner.......

In Speaking Wind’s book, The Message, part four titled, “The Seven Steps To Finding Your Path”......... In step three of this chapter, “Place Yourself First and Before All Things and Others”, Speaking Wind is reminded by one of the Ancestors of a belief most of humanity holds as truth:

“To Place Another Before You Is The Nobel Thing To Do.....
To Place Another Before You and All Of Your Needs Is The Right Thing To Do...
To Place Yourself Behind Another Is The Godly Thing To Do....”

What he was taught was this kind of thinking inhibits growth at the personal level due to getting completely caught up in the needs of others. When we do this our own needs are put on the back burner and become forgotten. This brings me to the belief we form that other people outside ourselves are more important, more worthy, more intelligent or gifted, etc. We tend to discount ourselves, our abilities and strengths believing that another is better than we are.

One attachment to this belief of putting another before our path of inner growth is; the one who is doing everything for the other begins to feel the person whom they are doing everything for.......now owes them and this is because they have done for others instead of themselves and begin to feel cheated, taken advantage of and used.
Then the expectations follow from the one who is doing and if they are not met, the sense of betrayal or victim-hood sets in. They begin to feel they can’t do for anyone anymore because they cannot trust anyone to return to them what they have given out.

For those who look to another to meet their expectations of what they believe someone else owes them in return will find themselves empty handed. They are expecting the same people who have not done for themselves, to do for them.
Now............. the person who has their needs taken care of is not focusing on their own path either. Their responsibility to Self has been passed onto another, therefore their own growth stops as well.
When we think along these lines, these others we have put in front of us for so long tend to begin to believe they have a degree of control or some sort of power over us and eventually we find ourselves at their beck and call or on the receiving end of attempted guilt trips to do as they wish.
This is why I feel it is so important to raise our children to learn self responsibility, otherwise if parents do everything for them they could be creating a precedent that could last a lifetime. These children might very possibly grow up expecting others to do for them and as adults feel lost and hold no inner skills to provide for themselves or feel the self-confidence needed.

Women specifically were raised to form this belief and become caretaker to all those around her. Her needs go on the back burner for many years while she devotes her life to her family and career or just bringing home that good ol paycheck. This is not so much the belief anymore.......times are rapidly changing. Women are incorporating themselves into the equation and removing themselves from the back burner. They are learning to find balance.
Amongst other reasons, we came here to walk our path. To learn and evolve in accordance to our own path. To remember who we are in truth and not one path is the same.
Let us in love, honor and respect, holding an open heart to the greater picture here on this beautiful planet and within our Human Family.

The Nature of Beliefs

Speaking Wind, The Ancestors and The Nature of Beliefs.......

I have always been interested in the nature of our individual belief systems we form since I was little and for myself, have personally found through the years a greater understanding of how I "tick" based on the beliefs I hold as truth. There is a series of books by Patrick Quirk, also known as “Speaking Wind”(www.dolphinmedia.com/authors/speaking_wind/) not many are aware of.
Have you ever come across a book, a piece of art or music that seemed to jump out and grab you? That “something about it” that resonated with you so deeply, it just seemed to downright attach itself to you to the degree it was your only prevailing thought until you raced home and dove into the adventure of it!
Without any hesitation I ordered all seven of Speaking Wind's books out of the 13 manuscripts that were published and within two months read all seven. The teachings resonated with such Truth and felt so familiar; though I have never been interested in Native American spirituality, nor am I familiar with their customs or traditions in this lifetime........
I could not put them down, nor stop reflecting on their teachings and insights into human behavior....especially my own.
"Speaking Wind and his brothers Cheeway and Nahe were Native Americans raised in the mountains of northern New Mexico by Grandfather, Two Bears and White Eagle who were Spirit Callers or Shamans of the Pueblo People.
From the time they were just little boys, these three Spirit Callers spent an enormous amount of time educating them in the ways of Spirit, passing on ancient knowledge, preparing them for their paths.
Both Speaking Wind and Cheeway went on to earn various degrees and Nahe became Sheriff in a small town in New Mexico. This took them into the mainstream world for almost twenty years, only to ultimately return to the path of Spirit, their teachings and gifts to humanity.
Cheeway became one of the lead archeologists in the Yucatan Peninsula, recovering ancient writings and civilizations relating to the ancient writings of the Pueblo People before he past on. After he past on he continued on his path with Speaking Wind from the side of Spirit.
For Speaking Wind, this return to the path of Spirit was prompted when he died in 1993 and was taken to the lands of The Ancient Ones. This is when he was reunited with Grandfather, Two Bears, White Eagle, Cheeway and Nahe. However, he was also greeted by an old friend, one who is known as the “GREAT MESSENGER”.
This “GREAT MESSENGER” gave Speaking Wind a message to bring back, a message that was to be shared with all who had the eyes to see, the ears to hear, the heart to feel and the willingness of spirit to understand. Within this message are ancient teachings to assist those who have an open heart full of desire to prepare themselves for the times that are now upon us. THE GREAT SHIFT.
Within these teachings lie insights into human behavior, societal and parental programming based on beliefs we all form through our life experiences and what we are taught to believe by others. Each one goes straight to the core of why we do what we do. They point the way to give us the greater understanding of ourselves and by doing so we learn to see that life presents us with constant opportunities to see our lessons that if we are willing to put the effort out and do the inner work, we create and maintain positive changes in ourselves, our individual life path’s and therefore the world.
I was raised a Roman Catholic and from the time I was a little girl asking the nuns questions they could not or would not answer, I instinctively intuited all was not right in Rome so to speak. I felt there were too many “holes” that didn’t allow the knowledge and teachings to connect up to Divine Wisdom. There were too many dictates that created a fear and control based belief system that didn’t jive with Yeshua’s true teachings of spiritual sovereignty that is our Divine Heritage in returning to Creator/Great Spirit/God.
In my own experience, I did not see anything from the church that encourages or teaches us to look within to Spirit for our own Truth and take ownership of self-responsibility in doing our inner work on the path of spiritual development. It only programs us to continually look outside ourselves for salvation and guidance. They hold the belief system we must go through various men and women who wear titles and robes to reach God they say, for they are the only ones who would have such authority to do so.
However, our salvation is set up to be contingent on whether we follow their rules. We will only be allowed to receive from God if we obey, otherwise we will be damned to hell for eternity.
Or if that doesn’t work, we could worship Jesus as our savior and believe He is the only way as they would like us to believe. Again, set up and programmed to look towards someone outside ourselves to save us that is directly linked through the church.
I believe what Yeshua taught was to look within for our own way, for there is where we shall find the Truth, he never desired to be worshiped. There is where we shall find Him, the Christ Consciousness.
Be True Unto Thy Own Self is what He said over and over. In other words, don’t turn your back on your own Spirit or Self, nor it’s path.
“You can do as I do, be as I am and come to know the mysteries of life as I have” was one of his main messages to humanity. By example of His lifetime, we see he was born, grew up and went to various schools, ate food, bathed and went to the bathroom just like everyone else. If it wasn’t imperative that he show ALL humans they can learn how to transcend the cycle of birth and death just as He did, he would have just “popped in” one day as a God performing miracles.
He and many others throughout the ages were here as Teachers for the world, traveling to all lands reminding all Souls what they have forgotten. Primarily, to awaken from the illusion of separation and live in peace and unity, for every single Spirit comes from the same Source and to think otherwise is to be knee deep in the illusion.
Woven within the messages and teachings in Speaking Wind’s books exists a silver thread of “The Great Messenger’s” Soul Signature that was intended to be as familiar to all as the bible, but this opportunity was removed from the masses through the ages........ironically enough, in the name of God and Jesus Christ.
The original teachings from the “Pale Prophet” were kept secret by Native Peoples because they knew these profound insights for humanity would be destroyed or altered as so many of the ancient manuscripts were by those who have no desire to put anything out to mainstream public that would self-empower us to wake up from the Grand Illusion we have all perceived as reality and truth.
This illusion that is spoken of simply means when we listen to those outside ourselves who seek to have control over another, we stop walking our own path period. When we hold the belief of separation or think we are greater or lower than any life form, we buy into the illusion of status, master and servant. When we buy into the falsehood we are humans living only one lifetime programmed to make as much money as we can, we buy into the "hamster's wheel" that keeps Corporate running.
Very few hold the greater understanding this was the very basis of Yeshua’s true teachings, to break free of the illusion that has perpetuated fear based cultures and societies and has kept the masses in a state of sleep and control for thousands of years. The religion of peace is what he taught, not a hierarchy of control.
When Speaking Wind chose to return, he fulfilled his destiny by sharing these messages that every human being has a right to know if they have an open heart and the willingness to do the inner work.
It is very important to me to share Speaking Wind with you because of the profound teachings and insights Speaking Wind was taught by Grandfather, Two Bears, White Eagle and whom they referred to as the Ancient Ones or Ancestors. These men devoted their lives to their spiritual paths in preparation to their service, which in one aspect turned out to be teaching two small children for many years preparing them for their service.
In other words, I saw with my Spirit’s eyes what they did for humanity and I heard what they had to say and I am deeply grateful to All of them for fulfilling their profound service.
According to the Ancient Ones, those who are not in touch with their Spirit and whose focus consists of the material world will go into a place of panic and fear when these planetary changes go into full motion. The Shift is not the end of the world by any means. It is the end of a cycle for this planet and all life forms, including humanity. All prior programs such as the economy, banking systems and money, religions, governments, etc. that do not resonate with the higher frequencies of non-control, love and unity will one by one crumble.
All imbalances within and on the surface of the planet will be released and another re-genesis will occur. All life forms including humanity will go through a metamorphosis from the 3-D experience we are evolving out of into wherever we resonate to or need to experience to further our growth. Is this going to happen overnight? It already is happening.......so as you can see this is a gradual event by event process.
If you turn your heads away from the material world and look inward towards the world of Spirit, you will begin to learn the truth of your reason of being and you will come to own a greater understanding of why you are here. You know, that age old question,
”Why are we here?", which by all rights humanity should have known thousands of years ago!  I encourage you to think on that for a moment. The truth and the path to get there has been here all along, it has just been kept from the masses.
This is truly the greatest gift we can ever give ourselves; remaining true to our life path and knowing oneself……..It is a solo journey within layers of various emotions, behavior patterns and beliefs. I tell my sons it is like a dot-to-dot or playing detective on yourself. You take a journey that leads to the source of why a lesson was born within you and along this journey you see what needs to be learned or remembered.
The crucial importance of humanity waking up and stepping out of the box to their own Truth that lies within is at it’s highest. Time is accelerating and so are our lessons or “stuff” surfacing to be worked through.
This is important for all of us to fully understand. The closer we come to the Great Shift, the higher the planetary frequencies become. The higher the frequencies, the more imbalanced behavior arises within humanity that is due from not doing the internal work of transformation. The more chaotic, violent, agitated and emotional people get, the greater amount of fear will be generated. Fear of not understanding what is going on and why, let alone what to do.
For those who have awakened and are aware of what is taking place and why, they will have the opportunity within themselves to hold the comfort of knowledge, which will remind them what the craziness is all about, which offers them a sense of inner peace. And most likely in some way or another they are busy doing their part in assisting our brothers in sisters in humanity to wake up.
However, humanity is not the isolated target for this Shift or Ascension, as the prophecies of all nations have known and now the sciences are admitting to the public the realization the planet, weather systems, seismic activity, volcanic eruptions, water resources, right down to the increase of solar flare storms is being greatly affected. We are now seeing mutated species of insects and animals, and what we thought were extinct prehistoric species found.
The planet will purge the results of abuse, pollutions and imbalances created by man and the higher the frequencies will increase, the more “upheavals” she will go through to release remnants of the last world that can no longer survive in the new one. The more people will experience this, the greater the fear will be for those who do not understand. They do not hold the understanding this is a natural cycle that takes place over and over. Why is this particular cycle so unique? Instead of just getting wiped out, humanity has the opportunity to awaken from their sleep of illusion to their true spiritual nature and to understand there is no separation of anything that exists, it would most certainly behoove us to wake up and change our beliefs how we perceive our fellow man or woman....any form that holds the expression of life.....so we may evolve with the planet this time.
This beautiful planet has her own agenda she is keeping regardless how many awaken.....How she goes through her re-birth is up to us. The impact of her contractions within her body and on humanity is up to us. The conscious awakening is up to us. Creating a new world is up to us.
It is our opportunity, our time and our choice. What will you do?

Patricia Summers
